May 21, 2012 – New York, NY – Redkite today announced the release of Cruncher, a powerful tool that integrates information from CrunchBase directly into Salesforce. CrunchBase, part of the influential TechCrunch network, is the leading database of technology companies, executives and investors. Cruncher puts that information at Salesforce users’ fingertips.

Cruncher allows Salesforce customers to view Cunchbase’s company details, including key contact information, investments, milestones and company executives. Users can easily update and enrich their Salesforce data, create new companies and contacts with details from Crunchbase, and share key updates with coworkers in Salesforce’s collaboration tool, Chatter.

“Cruncher has been in a private beta for a few weeks with numerous customers and the response has been overwhelming. Our venture capital customers have been able to get real-time insight right in Salesforce which has already increased productivity, just in the short period of time that they have been using Cruncher,” said Tal Gozhansky, responsible for Redkite’s partnership strategy.

One of Redkite’s current VC clients had this to say, “my entire sales and research team is using Cruncher. We are getting more relevant data into Salesforce and posting that data to Chatter in order to disseminate it efficiently. We are even using it for prospecting purposes and can’t wait for future enhancement as it is definitely an app that we use on a daily basis.”

The release of Cruncher follows on the heels of Redkite’s two other Salesforce plugins, Redhot News and the in|force Connector. Redhot News is an aggregator which displays the latest headlines for companies and contacts directly in Salesforce. The in|force Connector allowed user to view LinkedIn profiles directly on Salesforce contact pages. Although the in|force Connector was retired late last year, it is still the 2nd highest-rated free app ever published on Salesforce’s AppExchange.

Kenny McColl, Redkite co-founder shared his thoughts. “We view Cruncher and our other apps as the foundation for some very exciting work in our product pipeline, which will really demonstrate Salesforce’s social integration capabilities. By building these apps entirely on the Force.com platform, we’re able to deliver complex integrations while keeping development and maintenance costs down.”
